With the Stream Recorder, you can easily save live and archived videos that are delivered in a typical HLS (m3u8) format.
Even more, if the video file type is in an mp4 format, you can record videos directly using the unique video capture function.
Downloaded audio and video data is converted to mp4 as it is with the same quality without re-encoding.
This conversion is done inside the extension, without the use of an external server.
Please note that Stream Recorder is not responsible for media content which you download, so we suggest to ensure the copyright and permissions of the media before downloading.

i have been using video downloadhelper. but this extension is much better. however it does get tired. after 4 - 5 video dld , it just stops working.
a little buggy, but it works spectacularly. luckily Adrian Boisclair noticed all the same bugs as i did , so i don't need to say anything except go read his review.. otherwise this is a great app.
Perfect, Exactly What I Was Looking For. I'm Currently Using It Flawlessly.
**UPDATE** no longer working like it used to. Seems to download random streams from links located on page, and most of the time skips downloading the actual video stream located on the page, or will download streams located on any open tabs. Also, continues to add almost an unlimited of other streams that are not the stream intended to download (see original review below) **end of update** some bugs I have been noticing: -During regular stream download, if multiple tabs are open then stream recorder adds videos from other tabs to the original stream recorder tab. --when this happens, all of the streams have the same title/url rather than the relative url (because each video is from other tab(s)) --Suppress opening more checkbox only shows when multiple streams are being downloaded in one tab. This makes it hard to use because of the above mentioned bug (sometimes 30 streams are added to the stream recorder tab, requiring each to be "closed") Hope this helps!
