Dozens of tabs already open, and I knew I’d be adding more. I’d debate whether it was even worth organizing them—because organizing took time too. I installed Side Space for a simple reason: It was free. If it could make tab management just a little easier, that would be enough. After a few days, though, I realized something. The real value wasn’t about free vs. paid. It was about how it changed the way I think inside my browser. 1. AI Tab Grouping: “I Didn’t Have to Start by Organizing” Even on the free plan, AI-powered tab grouping is available. After opening several tabs and running the grouping feature, my tabs were organized by topic and domain context. * Research articles were grouped together * Docs and tools formed their own group It wasn’t perfect—but it didn’t need to be. Compared to a completely unstructured tab bar, this was a huge improvement. Before, my workflow started with: “Where did I put that page?” Now it starts with: “It should be in this group.” Even with just the free features, the time and mental energy spent searching for tabs dropped noticeably. 2. Failed in everything I asked it to do. No matter how I tried to emphasize my wishes. By the end, instead of sorting my tabs into existing groups - like I asked - it created new groups, and when I deleted those I lost all my tabs... I should've chosen to "ungroup" but I wish the extension would give me a warning before deleting all my tabs.
The browser automation features have improved my workflow a lot. It helps me research and open useful resources while I’m writing my paper. Hope to see even more features soon.
