Gmail POP Sync is a Chrome extension that enables you to modify the settings in Gmail, allowing your external POP accounts to fetch and synchronize faster than the default rate of once every hour.
With Gmail POP Sync, you can fetch from an unlimited number of POP3 email accounts with a frequency as low as one minute.
If you use Gmail to access emails from other POP3 accounts, the Gmail Fetcher will automatically check each POP3 account at the frequency you select.
You can also utilize the new 'Fetch Now' feature, which allows you to synchronize all your POP accounts with a single click.

This extension works well but I had to do some digging in Chrome dev tools to discover why mine was not working at first. This extension appears to only execute its script against the Google account Chrome Sync is signed into or when an initial account is signed into Google. It appears the first signed in Google account is given a /0/ in the Gmail url to differentiate if you would happen to sign into more than one Google/Gmail account. So the next account you sign into will have a url path of /1/, /2/ etc. If your account you want to fetch pop3 from is anything other than the first /0/, the extension will not work properly. So maybe a settings field to select an alternate or multiple Google url index paths would fix this issue.
