This extension was created as an alternative to 'Extensions Update Notifier' (last updated June 2016) and 'Extension log' (last updated July 2019). It is quite possible one or both of these will not be updated to Manifest V3 and will disappear from the Web Store forever. An alternative that is currently available in the Web Store is 'Extensions Update Tracker'.
Options are available to choose which extensions will trigger an update notification. A button badge counter may be used instead of a notification. Audio files may optionally be played on extension updates. Clicking on the extensions toolbar button will open a popup that will show the most recent extension updates. A log page may also be opened to view install, uninstall, and update data for extensions.
Other options are available that may be viewed in the extensions Options page. Right click the toolbar button to access the Options page or to view the log page.
Inspect the latest comments and rating distribution.
Store average score: 4.4. The bars below are calculated from synced review text only, so they may be empty for extensions that have public ratings but no synced comments yet.

This is a great extension and works well. I would like to see additional features added, such as monitoring `Offered by` and `Developer Email`, and being alerted when changes occur.
This extension is great for monitoring Chrome extensions and notifying users when updates are available. It keeps you well informed by sending notifications to the Windows Notification Centre. I also find it useful that the update monitor displays both the previous and updated version numbers. This provides a better overview, as otherwise this process takes place in the background without you noticing. Overall, I think this extension is excellent and a "must-have", particularly for people who use lots of extensions.
I installed this as a replacement for extension-log ( eiljhbjamiikjjldhnepillceohglbjh ) - which, as the author predicted, didn't make the transition. Couple of things I'd like to see: - a way to export the log to a text file (a constantly updated text-file (user-specified name/location) would be nice) - I don't delete logs, so having the delete function being easily available for a mis-click is concerning, I hope there's a confirmation dialog before actually performing the deletion (not tested). - It's a little hard to get the log up/displayed, it would be nice if it were available as an option/configurable on the left click display - And lastly, an option to display/log all your already existing, loaded extensions (so you know what you started with). Especially if you're running old, side-loaded extensions (version numbers). The suggestions from Extra Virgi & Mikhail are very good, as well. Sometimes we have to rebuild Chrome from the ground up, and this could help. Right now it's a tool, but needs lot of extra help to make useful.
Excellent. +5
Normally, browser extensions update silently without notifying the user. When Extension Update Monitor is installed, it actively informs users via a browser notification to what version an extension has been updated. Additionally, the extension has a log page that shows all extension updates, installations, and deletions. You can access this log by right-clicking the extension's icon and selecting "Open log page". To ensure accurate tracking, I recommend keeping this extension enabled at all times. The issue with the error message that another user described, I have yet to experience. It is a well-crafted extension and I appreciate the efforts of the developer to share it with us. Feature Request: In the log page, there is a column labeled "id". It would be fantastic if these IDs were made clickable, providing direct hyperlinks to the Chrome Web Store page for the corresponding extension. Keep up the great work!
With the version 2.0 release, now get error message "This extension reloaded itself too frequently". It can't be turned on and enabled.
Useful extension to see what has been updated from browser extensions.
