Apollo Client Devtools is a Chrome extension for the open-source GraphQL client, Apollo Client. This extension has 4 main features:

1. A built-in version of the Apollo Studio Explorer that allows you to make queries against your GraphQL server using your app's network interface directly (no configuration necessary).

2. A query watcher that shows you which queries are being watched by the current page, when those queries are loading, and what variables those queries are using.

3. A mutation inspector that displays the mutations made to your Apollo Client application data.

4. A cache inspector that displays your Apollo Client cache data. You can explore the cache through a tree-like interface, and search for specific field keys and values.

Code for this extension can be found at: https://github.com/apollographql/apollo-client-devtools

It's a nice extension when it does show up in dev tools. I've spent most of my time trying to figure out how to get the tab to appear within Chrome dev tools. Sometimes, I can get it to reappear by uninstalling and reinstalling the extension. When it does work, it only works for a single tab. When I close that tab, I can't get it to reappear. I'm using Chrome v73.0.3683.103. UPDATE: I figured out what I was doing wrong -- user error. We're using the Apollo Angular Client and I had neglected to supply the `connectToDevTools` option. I actually didn't realize that I needed to supply that argument. So, one minor suggestion for improved usability would be to have this instruction show up when Apollo Dev Tools extension is installed, but the Apollo Client on the site doesn't have connectToDevTools: true. After making the change, the extension works like a charm!

compared to redux dev tools, this has no system, I would be much more happier if I would see: - timeline (left side) - diff, or result from query (right side toggle) - cache (right side), when selected query, showing query after the mutation basically, redux dev tools are briliant tool, missing something like it for graphql

Not able to pull up the extension. Not seeing the Tab for local development or production. Would really like to use this!

I am unable to see it in the dev tools at all. I selected read and write data on all sites, tried a new tab, opening and closing chrome completely, but no dice.

It's great when it works, the problem is that it almost never works.

Great in concept, but so buggy. Clicking to see mutations kills the entire extension. Cache does not update on its own, requiring a force reload of the frame.
