Extension to return old Twitter layout from 2015 (or 2018). WORKS IN 2026!
This extension doesn't add any CSS on top of original Twitter. It's fully different client that replaces original new Twitter client, making it faster than alternatives that just add style on top of Twitter. This extension requires you to be logged in to Twitter account.
Please visit https://twitter.com/old/settings after installing to make it work just as you like. It switches to chronological timeline by default, you can switch back to algorithmical timeline in settings.
You can visit unchanged Twitter by visiting https://twitter.com?newtwitter=true.
The code is open source! Check https://github.com/dimdenGD/OldTwitter to see the code and report any issues.

Actually its bad, Twitter crash and lagging web and my laptop
Works really smooth, looks fantastic, and indeed brings the old twitter's workflow and appearance back, but with some useful features in the settings menu, this guy remade twitter from scratch!
I finally found that is working!!!! I tried different extensions (for old Twitter UI of course), but it didn't work. Thank you very much!!!!

It's accurate to old twitter
way better than most old twitter userscripts and extensions, especially since its based off of the much better 2015 twitter instead of the 2018 twitter everyone else goes after and that its actually faster than real twitter since it replaces it, this is the first one ive seen that did that for twitter but ive still got some complaints: - tweets dont always expand when first clicking them, have to click either at the top or right below the profile picture (basically anywhere not inside the main text box) - uses default html player, i imagine you use firefox where it isnt a problem but on chrome it takes up half of the screen - the existence of the splash screen when first opening a page
