This extension is not good. Please avoid installing it if you can. Firstly, it does not block websites you visit, that would be your schools firewall. It DOES, however, track you. It has access to all the information of any website you visit. It checks the URLs of all of the websites and almost certainly sends them to a server somewhere. Its primary purpose is to autofill passwords, but it tracks you on the side. In addition, websites can see that you have it installed. How, do you think, does your districts classlink portal check whether you have it installed before letting you continue to focus or any other application from the portal. Websites can see that you have it installed and log that information. This tells them you are likely a student and, in combination with your IP address, is nearly a unique identifier of who you are. Think, there are few people who live near you with your exact OS, web browser, settings, and extensions. As a result, installing this extension allows the school to track you, the apps programmer to track you, and websites you visit to track you. Please download a two browsers and only use the one with the extension installed for school related activities. This is called browser isolation and your can learn more about it and general internet privacy at RobBraxtonTech's youtube or lbry channel.
It tracks my data, and while they do that they are probably selling it as well
Tryna get this removed because my school uses it...
it didn't do anything, it just makes my browser run slower. class link signs into all the sites for me? why do we need this site? I have 0 idea. it also makes my other extensions super glitchy. and stuff like YouTube, it dosnt "block" them. it denies the connection by just saying connection was reset. some Wikipedia sites were blocked. YouTube was blocked. and tons of other sites were blocked. the school probably uses this to check your incognito search history.
It is a bad idea to put all of your eggs in one basket like this, so I am against the idea of this extension in general, but the execution of this one is even worse. I wish I could uninstall but it is force installed on my school chromebook
I can't login I even called the school help desk for my password and username. It worked but then it logged me out and says "Wrong username or Password." I don't understand why schools choose crappy options , it just makes it more frustrating .I hate this and would rather use my schools old crappy, thing than this. Also anybody that gave this a 5 star is a bot
