It works as promoted, but installing this will breaks Youtube posts and reply chain through the bell / notification icon.
works sorta alright, but it breaks replies on any youtube posts, you can never read the replies or expand them, so the block is somehow messing with more than shorts.
Works great! One thing to note, it doesn't block the youtube shorts tab in the top left if the language selected is Japanese. I presume because the extension looks for the text Shorts and not ショーツ
With the extension on, you can't view replies to comments on YouTube. Dev says it's fixed in version 1.5.5 but apparently it isn't.

Works fine as a transfer into the normal video UI when you turn off both of the optional settings.
