All of a sudden I started having this weird issue where Chrome would open "blank" pages. Meaning, the pages actually load (the links work, etc.), but you can't see anything. I've been searching for a while for a possible cause and most of the posts suggest I had some sort of spyware (and this is on a Mac - it's not immune, but odds are much less). Simply one of those maddening intermittent type of problems that waste a lot of time and makes you want to scream (to the say the least). It started happening again today. Tried an In Cognito window and the problem went away, so I knew it was likely an extension. The first extension I disabled was Cisco WebEx and the problem instantly went away. The security aspects I've been reading here are equally frightening and now things make a lot more sense. Yet Cisco's entire value proposition is centered around how well they protect people on the Internet. Does anyone else get a "slight" sense of irony here?
Forced to install this unnecessary spyware crap.
Cisco WebEx Extension failed to be added to Google Chrome Browser on Windows 10 Pro. It used to work on Windows 8/7 Pro.
Webex is really helpful.
Why need to read all website data and still require to install native binary?
Too many permission requests. As such I'm not installing.
It never works on Mac.
doesn't work at all. waste of your life trying unless your goal is to have "all your data on the websites you visit" spied on
"Read and change all your data on the websites you visit" I highly encourage every employee required to use WebEx to make the recommendation to their employer to find a better and safer alternative.
