We’re grateful for your feedback—we've listened and are moving the functionality of Tag Assistant Companion into the original Tag Assistant extension and are retiring this extension. The original Tag Assistant extension now supports features from both the original and companion extensions, including in-page debugging and advanced functionality on tagassistant.google.com.
Please install the Tag Assistant extension. If you have both the original and companion extensions installed, the companion extension will be automatically uninstalled in the coming months.

As i don't see any other way for reporting bugs: We used to debug our GTM in the iframe with this chrome plugin being enabled. For debugging we just opened the parent page and the iframe showed up. For a week now this doesn't work anymore. For the iframe-gtm we do get an error message "tag not found". I tried the legacy plugin: Tag Assistant Legacy (by Google) and here we can debug the iframe as we used to. Please have a look at this. I really liked the new tag assistant companion plugin.
I almost didn't download this but then read some of the positive reviews. It works great. My G analytics says tags are not connect. But this extension is reporting on actions I take in the website. Simple fast tool. Now I have to figure out why Analytics is not connecting.
No se conecta con la web.
I think there are a few misunderstandings here :) 1. This extension only provides the additional features as it says on the tin (description). So if you don't need those, you probably don't need this extension. 2. Tag Assistant works without this, this extension is NOT what provides its core feature set.
Just brings you to Tag Manager? Useless addition
The extension doesnt server a purpose. What is the functionality meant to achieve? It takes you to https://tagassistant.google.com/ and nothing else?
No Funciona
This extension gets 1 star from other reviewers because they're confused about what it does. It's probably Google's fault for naming it "tag assistant companion" which is way too similar to the extension it replaces, which worked in a very different way. If you use Google Tag Manager this extension simply makes "preview" or debug mode more powerful. That's what it does. It's a behind-the-scenes extension and it isn't meant to be "clicked on" as the legacy tag assistant was.
Easy and clear
