Overview:
Instantly highlight and normalize biomedical entities as you browse, and turn unstructured web content into structured intelligence.
Synapse Lens helps life sciences teams move faster through information overload. As you read industry news, company pipeline pages, and PubMed abstracts, the extension automatically identifies key biomedical entities on the page. It also normalizes names and codes into standard terms so you can capture signals, validate context, and build trackers without manual copy/paste.

excellent tool to quickly skim literature
"Finally! I've been using Synapse for a while, and Synapse Lens makes the whole experience so much more seamless. Instead of jumping back and forth, I can now see structured intelligence directly on the webpage. It handles 7 core entities including SMILES and patents, which is a huge plus. The integration with the Synapse data foundation is smooth, and the keyboard navigation (Up/Down keys) makes skimming through long articles a breeze. Definitely saves me a ton of time on literature screening!
Essential for reading research papers, genuinely saves time. I work in drug development and read tons of papers and patents every day. After installing this extension, it automatically highlights key information like drugs, targets, and diseases when I open an article. Just hover over them to see details. My favorite feature is the export function: after recognition, I can export to Markdown and paste it into my notes as a structured entity list, which saves so much time when organizing competitive intelligence. The only minor issue is that it takes a moment to process really long articles, but it's still way faster than doing it manually.
I rarely write reviews, but this tool deserves one. For anyone in Pharmaceutical Business Development, the pain of digging for specific clinical endpoints or deal terms in dense literature is real. This extension solves that problem elegantly. The ability to rapidly capture key insights from news and papers is unmatched. It has significantly boosted my productivity and allows me to focus on analysis rather than just reading. I highly recommend this to anyone in the field—I’ve already got my R&D colleagues using it for their literature reviews. Solid 5 stars.
This extension is very useful for reading biomedical literature. It automatically highlights key entities such as drugs, targets, and diseases, which allows me to quickly scan a paper and understand its main focus. This helps me decide early on whether the article is relevant to my work. The ability to click on highlighted terms and jump to detailed explanations is also very helpful. Overall, it significantly improves my reading efficiency and saves a lot of time.
