Scraping a website can be complicated, but this extension makes it very easy. The short video and documentation did a great job of answering any questions I had. This has everything I need to find products on those useless online catalog interfaces with no sort-by-price option or hidden price listing. Being open source puts the icing on the cake.
It doesn't work. Is it because I'm using chrome on an Apple desktop? Is it because I didn't pay for it? I didn't have the option to create a new sitemap.
Extremely powerful tool. Best scrapper. Highly recommended.
This thing works well but it loses one star because it locked up my computer when scraping a really big web site. I'm going to try breaking it down to smaller parts and then I will probably be fine.
Fantastic extension, I used to write my own scraper and that was just a waste of time, since this does much more and its so easy to use after 10 minutes of watching the tutorial.
Loving this extension so far! It is easy to use CSS selectors to extract data, but many times web pages will separate data with a simple new line (br tag) and I haven't found a reliable way to differentiate fields in these cases. Regex lookbehinds would be great, but javascript doesn't support. I usually find myself selecting a whole paragraph of several fields and then splitting the output in excel or writing a script to split it up. It would be fantastic if I could use webscraper.io to select elements that are separated by <br> tags.
