There has been ages that I don't work in companies that send nasty emails which need fixing by this extension, and thus I stopped following the Gmail changes. Every now and then, someone sends an email with an issue, which unfortunately I don't have the time or will to fix.
However, I'm still open to Pull Requests in the project's GitHub repo, so feel free to collaborate!

Ever complained about the horizontal scrolling that large images create on Gmail messages? Like those screenshots your client sent you, or a fancy signature that's cool for their widescreen monitors, but not for your windowed view?
This is a small extension that adds a slight rule so inline images will always fit in the message body. No need to keep scrolling back and forth to read any paragraph.

Not working at all
This extension does nothing. At all. It has no effect at all. What it's supposed to do would be AMAZING! It's something I desperately, desperately need. But this extension does not do it. In fact it does nothing at all.
I need an extension that does what this one says it will do, but I installed it in my new MacBook Air and it didn't have any effect. I still have to scroll very far left and right to read some emails in gmail.
Exactly what I was looking for. Appalled I have to install an extension (C'mon Gmail, why isn't this built in?) but I'm happy this extension exists. Thank you for making it!
Extension not working. Here's a solution that works for me: Install Stylus: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/stylus/clngdbkpkpeebahjckkjfobafhncgmne?hl=en Use this style rule on domain mail.google.com .h7 img { max-width: 95%; height: auto; object-fit: contain; }
Works well in Edge (Sept 2020). However when printing a message, the photo is still way too large. At any rate, a big relief, though it's astonishing Gmail still can't handle inline photos intelligently in 2020. Thank you dev.
