In December 2024 not much useful any more. It stops playing the video completely instead of just seeing the ad. YT is getting in front of them.

This app doesn’t actually skip ads. Instead, it replaces them with a black screen, so while you don’t see the ad, you’re not saving any time either. Additionally, YouTube still detects it as an ad blocker.

This app doesn't skip ads. Instead there is a black screen displayed instead of the ad. In effect, you're just not seeing the ad but not saving any time.
It's blocking ads, but the main video is also getting blocked, video player becoming black.
