The "Return YouTube Comment Username" rewrites the YouTube comment username to the traditional username format.
Due to an update to YouTube, user IDs beginning with @, called "handles," are now displayed in the name field of the comments section, and traditional usernames are no longer visible in the comments.
By using this extension, the comment field's
* Can be Replace @handle with conventional user name
* Can be Display in the format "@handle (Username)"
* Can be Display in the format "Username (@handle)"

Great extension, I hope YouTube gets rid of that soon. It looks really stupid and just feels wrong. Why on earth would they even add such a dumb non optional feature anyway? Oh well, at least the extension seems to work.

The MAIN ISSUE n why it OCCURS Appears to be a Page scripting problem with the recent add of @handles this extension works , BUT YOU MUST ***REFRESH THE PAGE*** every time you comment for YOUR USERNAME TO SHOW NORMALLY even after commenting for this extension to work ... wich is bad .. but it still works.. but this extension NEEDS improvement .. it needs to AUTOMATICALY . make USERNAME SHOW After every comment commented in the comment section ... not after the page is refrshed after every comment the user name shows correctly... GOOD EXTENSION but needs improvement

Once again, extension devs doing the heavylifting of keeping YouTube a somewhat-enjoyable experience. It only took a few days for me to realize this change wasn't a bug. I know I'm probably in the minority, but I love going to some videos where in the comments, someone's pretending to be a relevant character. Of course the handles take away from that. Anyway this extension works as described, thank you so much!
