Unfortunately, it cannot export Markdown files with formatting, only text (useless for MD files) :-( this extension does only MD files: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/canvas-to-markdown-for-ge/gihkjajgpbnmgadiidpophckknfcekpj/ I need one which will combine it together :D 🙏
It works on deep research report as well. However, it was in unuseable merged txt format with no doc struture. A markdown format would be much prefered. Hope it could be updated in the future. PS: I was not able to choose the standard download or desktop folder as it kept on warning me that "gemini.google.com can't open this folder because it contains system files", which is not the case for any other downloading tasks.
How to use?
Perfect, this is just what I needed to address the issue I had with Gemini's Canvas: there was no easy way to download generated files directly to my local computer. Feature request: add an option to select a specific local folder for file downloads from the Canvas instead of defaulting to the browser's download folder. This would make it far easier to save and overwrite project-related files, avoiding the hassle of manually moving them to the designated project folder on my PC.
This solves a simple problem elegantly, with extra features, totally worth it to have it on your browser!
