This seems to work great and fixes a huge annoyance! I did have one question. In the description it talks about enabling it per-stream, where is that configuration? Maybe update the description with more details? Thanks much.

Can you make it work on the embedded player as well?

Honestly never rate extensions but this one deserves it. Its simple, effective, and does what it says. I was researching for hours for a solution to this problem, and this fixed it. Thank you sm for sharing this!

Ya this is keeping the stream in perfect quality. I like that I can also disable on some tabs so I can have dj streams in the background not using extra uneeded data and still have any streams I want in top quality at the same time. How was this not a thing before this.. Thank you!

For years I've been putting up with Twitch sassing me whenever I dare to switch over to another tab and multitask for more than a few seconds. Quality gets throttled down and sometimes a stream freezes altogether just because I wasn't "actively" watching that window, as if Twitch thinks viewers NEED to be looking at a stream at all times. These problems would usually lead to delay adding up over time, so if I left someone up on lurk for a couple hours while doing other things, I'd find that my chat would be lagging minutes behind unless I refreshed the browser...which often caused ads to start up again just because I had the audacity to try and resolve a delay caused by Twitch's weird quality throttling. As far as I can tell, this plug-in fixes all that. I was a day one user when I happened upon the announcement of this being released and I am absolutely grateful to the developer for taking the time to make this.
