Product summary

Review the store description, core capabilities, and common use cases.

Browser Chaos Meter shows you exactly how out of control your tabs have become.

The extension counts your open tabs and places you into one of seven escalating stages of chaos, ranging from calm and organised to total chaos. A live badge in the toolbar shows your current tab count, and both the badge and the extension icon change colour as your chaos level increases.

Opening the popup reveals a clear breakdown of your current chaos stage using a seven-segment meter. You can choose to count tabs in the current window or across all windows. The extension also keeps local tab count records, showing the highest level of chaos you reached today and this week.

When things get truly unmanageable, the NUKE button lets you close tabs instantly. You can choose whether to close tabs in the current window or across all windows, and you can keep your active tab if needed. A confirmation step ensures nothing is closed by accident.

Browser Chaos Meter is lightweight, fast, and private. It does not track browsing activity, collect personal data, or send anything to external servers. All data is stored locally on your device.

If you regularly open “just one more tab” and suddenly find yourself buried, Browser Chaos Meter gives you a clear, honest snapshot of how bad things really are.
