Youtube Custom Speed lets you play any Youtube video at any speed you like, from 0.0125x to 16x!
Use the options menu to set your preferred playback rate values. Then, change the speed using buttons at the bottom of the video. It also cooperates with the default Youtube keyboard shortcuts - Shift + , and Shift + .

This extension is amazing. You can speed up both videos AND ads, and because of how it plays back the video the creator still gets the same number of watch hours as if you didn't watch it at 3.2x speed.
Very good, very clean. Worried it didn't work for a moment, but I just reloaded the page, and it works great.
When YouTube puts some features (this time- custom speed) behind the paywall, you can be sure there's an extension reenabling that feature. But damn, this is so much better implemented, the control looks clean, becomes part of the UI and allows to change speed with only one click, no need to click settings icon, than speed. SO GOOD! Can't recommend it enough
It works, but it forces you to 1.75 speed (ridiculously slow) or 3x (ridiculously fast) or a single custom setting only on new tab. In reality, some people speak so slow, 3x is too slow. While other people speak so fast that 2.25 is as fast as you can go. The sweat spot is variable, with .1x increments, usually between 2.2 an 2.8x, with outliers. So, I am uninstalling, and trying other options. Not useless, but not really better than nothing, unless the custom speed miiraculously matches the the pace of the speaker, how well they are microphoned, and how clearly they can articulate.
Very Easy to install. Multiple modifiable values. Simple yet powerful configuration. Much better than youtube standard speed tool and easier to reach. And is very refined. I highly recommend you give this tool a try

the play back button doesn't even appear i added this and haven't seen it at all
