It used to work better. For example, when I’m on a website that is in the block list and the time runs out, that site is correctly blocked. However, when I switch to another tab, websites that are not in the block list often get blocked as well. Even when I switch tabs again, those pages may also be blocked. If I use the browser’s “Back” button, the page briefly loads, but then the block screen appears again instead of the actual site.
I honestly loved this extension until they started to AGGRESIVELY push ads; It was so aggressive that I originally thought I caught a malware, then I noticed the stayfocusd logo. I was on a site called newrecruit, and it was literally covering half the content; something called Luna Ad Blocker, "By Stay Focusd". I love this app; but i think i am gonna delete it.

It's not working. Very frustrating. All I wanted it to do was block me from using a particular website during certain hours of the day. So I added that website to the blocked sites list, selected all days of the week, and selected the hours that I wanted to be blocked. First source of frustration was having to wait 24 hours for the hours to take effect so I couldn't benefit from this plugin on the first day. So I waited a full day and it's still not doing anything. Instead it's doing an hour long time limit on the site even though I never wanted an hour long time limit. I just want it to block me during the times I requested. Very simple need that it's not helping with. If I'm doing something wrong, it's not intuitive at all. I was able to figure this out with LeechBlock in about five minutes.
Estaba notando que la batería de mi mac bajaba exponencialmente y no entendía porque, cuando me ha dado por ver el task manager de chrome, he visto que el mismo browser se pone entre 60 y 110% de cpu. Si desactivo la extensión vuelve a la normalidad. Es una lástima porque conceptualmente iba bien.
Works great! Ultimately, depends on how motivated you are to avoid the sites haha. But it is very effective at limiting!
It is good on Chrome but not running on Perplexity Comet.
