You sit down at the computer, and you swear you'll be productive. Next thing you know, it's twelve hours later. You've checked your email, updated your Facebook status, blown through 200 pages of Reddit, read every article in your Twitter feed, looked up your favorite band on Wikipedia, vanity googled yourself, cyber-stalked your ex, browsed through all your high-school crushes' Instagram feeds, and lost a week's pay playing online poker.
What you haven't done is WORK.

I don't like it because even though it worked, it worked all too well. Even after I Unblocked everything because I had finished my work, it still wouldn't let me onto the site :(
hugely improved my work-flow / productivity.
Gets the job done very well. Just don't ever accidentally block google when you're trying to use google for research...
Very helpful app! One suggestion is that it blocks slashdot.com rather then slashdot.org
Best chrome application. Necessary if you want to increase your productivity.
I didn't really use it, mostly for the same reason as this other review by Tristan Hair "One big problem, doesn't have a window period for lunch, or for going home." Recently I started to see some ads on Google, this extension was the source of them. I understand you guys need to make money, and to be honest, I have added you guys to my list of possible ad sources for an upcoming project I have. But what I did not like was that you've omitted the sources of the ads.
StayFocusd enforces a strict amount of time on a specific set of websites, when you could waste time basically anywhere... like I am now... It has a friendly and stern interface though, and it has helped somewhat.
The procrastinator is often remarkably optimistic about his ability to complete a task on a tight deadline; this is usually accompanied by expressions of reassurance that everything is under control. (Therefore, there is no need to start.) Lulled by a false sense of security, time passes. At some point, he crosses over an imaginary starting time and suddenly realizes, "Oh no! I am not in control! There isn't enough time!"
I like the idea and the extension is helpful, but the messages were a bit too snarky for my taste. I'm using this extension because I need help, I didn't come here to be insulted.
If you find your life being controlled by the internet, do yourself a favor and download this right now. It really helps when you find yourself wasting your time on Facebook or YouTube. There's only one feature I would like added: on the Nuclear option, there should be an option where you're still allowed to go on blocked sites but have your time drained. I like putting music in the background when I'm working on YouTube, I just don't want to waste time watching videos. I need the nuclear option to save me from spammy sites, but i also want the music, as long as I'm not on the tab. Can you do this for me? I would really appreciate it. EDIT: I figured out how. On Nuclear option you can select "Just certain types of content" then choose images and multimedia. It will block the videos on youtube but you can still hear them. Fits my needs perfectly. Thank you.
