You sit down at the computer, and you swear you'll be productive. Next thing you know, it's twelve hours later. You've checked your email, updated your Facebook status, blown through 200 pages of Reddit, read every article in your Twitter feed, looked up your favorite band on Wikipedia, vanity googled yourself, cyber-stalked your ex, browsed through all your high-school crushes' Instagram feeds, and lost a week's pay playing online poker.
What you haven't done is WORK.

A simple web site blocker to keep you focused and enhance your productivity
The Freedom website blocker gives you control over distracting websites, so you can focus on what matters most.
Limit your time spent on distracting sites. Limit is an extension that allows you to set time limits for distracting websites.
Beautifully interrupts mindless browsing, and gets you back to your life.
Eradicate distractions and take back control of your browsing
Don't know why but adding blocked sites doesn't have visible feedback on the list. Refreshing the settings page makes the newly added sites show up though. In addition, removing blocked sites doesn't work.
It's great, works like a charm until you realise that if you go to the google chrome extensions page you can disable it from there. 5 stars if you can make it tamper proof!
Necesitaba esto!
really useful works "good attitude" :)
Justo lo que andaba buscando. Gracias.
Facebook was killing me. StayFocusd is like your best friend that got you out of a bad relationship before getting serious. "Listen to me man, she's not good for you!" :-)
很好很强大
This runs smoothly on my Windows 8.1 (now 10) system, and I have little to no quarrels with it. The reason I do not rate it five stars, however, is that I primarily use Chromium on Ubuntu 14.04 now. The extension does not sync well with my other operating system (it's a dual boot), so spending time on Windows 10 does not dock any time off my usage on Ubuntu. Furthermore, every time I reopen Chromium the time resets to 10 minutes. All my other settings (which sites are blocked) carry over from my Windows partition, but not the time, which not only resets each time the browser is reopened, but is meant to be at 25 minutes a day, as I extended my time allotted per day (cheeky is I). However, I can't always expect the same support on Ubuntu as I get from Windows, so this is a minor quarrel and overall this extension works extremely well.
