You sit down at the computer, and you swear you'll be productive. Next thing you know, it's twelve hours later. You've checked your email, updated your Facebook status, blown through 200 pages of Reddit, read every article in your Twitter feed, looked up your favorite band on Wikipedia, vanity googled yourself, cyber-stalked your ex, browsed through all your high-school crushes' Instagram feeds, and lost a week's pay playing online poker.
What you haven't done is WORK.

good
You should have a feature where you upload an embarrassing picture of yourself, and if you go over your maximum procrastination time it gets sent to a bunch of your friends. otherwise, works great
Thanks for this. It's like you're in my head. I appreciate this, but I think my GPA, and more importantly my wife, appreciate it most.
Excellent, except I have had recurring problems with the reset, in some cases when it has not reset at all for two days in a row. I love that all changes to the settings take 24 hours to take effect, but if it never resets, how exactly is that supposed to work? Otherwise, very useful for managing time by not getting wrapped up in a site (it gives me 5 minute warnings, etc).
Mostly works really great! Great for productivity. However, I am having some sort of bug while trying to add "allowed sites" I like to keep a list of allowed sites that I want access to ALWAYS (mostly these are email, banking, workplace, and schoolwork/academic related websites). This way I can constrain my internet use to actually productive things (like answering student emails or reading academic papers) when I use the Nuclear Option available on StayFocusd. Well, this app keeps deleting or not entering my list of allowed sites. This started a couple weeks ago, by deleting the list. Today when I try to add a long list of allowed sites (gmail, pubmed etc) it takes that list and simply adds this url to the allowed sites: chrome-extension:// It deletes all the other sites (I do not even include "chrome-extension://" on my list). I have tried restarting chrome and my computer, but this does not help.
I donated $10 to project. I had a few complaints and initially I only gave 3 stars to this extension. Turns out that all my complaints were addressed in the settings for the extension. User will need to spend some time to figure out optimal settings.
IT SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK.
Disclaimer. I'm writing a poor review because of one really bad incident. I did not set the extension to block Facebook. I was on the FB and finishing up a very long post, then the extension triggered javascript that would not let me cancel out of popup. Then redirected me, losing all my work. I am a developer, so I understand that things go wrong. But also know all it takes is one really bad bug to lose users.
Will not work.
I needed this for so long. So many others proport do to the same to this is the real kahuna. Use with caution.
