A badge of your current country is shown on the icon, which will refresh every 3s. So you can easily see, if you have a broken VPN or proxy connection when the country-code changes unexpectedly. Additionally a notification appears on your desktop when one of your IP addresses (IPv4 or IPv6) has changed - of course, it can be turned off in settings.
You can also display your position on a map by clicking the corresponding button next to the IP address.
Your user agent is shown in the entries as well.

The request to the server to obtain your geolocational information is secured at least with TLSv1. Also Perfect Forward Secrecy is enabled.

It gives a notification when changing IP and country and no matter what I do to disable it in the settings, it doesn't work, so I deleted it.

Works and simple, informative. Suggested to let people know what network port need to use for this plugin since people in workplace might found it blocked by IT department. They might blame you for plugin not working :)
Love it! The icon and the information are just about what I need.
Simple and works as expected. I use it on all my computers, very useful in combination with VPN.
es war, "war", das Beste seiner Art...Icon geändert, so die Sicht des Users....geht nicht mehr, in der aktuellen Version; da ich einige alte Versionen in Browsern Chrome <95 habe: dort wird nicht upgedated, und da läuft diese weltweit einmalige IP-Anzeige mit Flagge und kleinem Domain-Kürzelchen-Text! Mensch, Herr Cevik! was ist denn da los?! bereits die Festlegung auf diese 3 Sekunden...bitte geben Sie doch die Option, das man sich die Refreshrate selber einstellen kann, warum nicht?! ganz herzlichen Dank!
spams me with the same IP change notification
Generell tolles Tool, da es nahtlose Änderungen der IP kenntlich macht und man somit eine perfekte Transparenz hat. Jedoch scheint seit dem letzten Update die Anpassung der IP Adresse im Einklang mit der korrekten Flaggen- und Länderanzeige nicht mehr konstant zu funktionieren. Fehler äußert sich mit hinterlegtem "ERR" oder gar keiner Flaggen/Länderanzeige im Icon; die IP Adressen werden aber jeweils korrekt angezeigt, wenn man auf das Icon" klickt. 04.06.2024: Danke für die schnelle Rückmeldung. Leider besteht nach dem Update nach wie vor derselbe Fehler und keine korrekte Anpassung. Eine komplette De- und Neuinstallation brachte leider auch keine Abhilfe. Vor dem Update lief alles perfekt. LG
