Youtube went to a different format with their comment section recently, and the extension became useless by not being able to block people. The extension developer fixed this (sort of) by moving the location of the block button. Unfortunately, nobody gets blocked any more, making the extension useless. I was getting tired of racist rhetoric that Youtube refuses to take action on, and this extension helped with blocking those foul people. Unfortunately though, like I said, the extension doesn't block anyone any more. :(
replies don't work
only 100 users... dont install!!!
It worked, thanks. 很有效,謝謝
It works, but not on youtube shorts for some reason
i cant block emojis, thats all i wanted it for. to block 🚠🚡, and 🥀 and 💀 and all that other stuff and i cant even do it
This is just what I needed when after the Australian Federal election recently, new accounts began popping up and using stylised fonts to throw targeted, repetitive and extremely profane (think of the worst possible profanity imaginable) comments at watchers of a particular YouTube channel. There is no way within YouTube to filter these users out but this extension at least blurs out their comments. On the downside, this is a very inefficient way to filter out profanity and similar gutter filth in the YouTube comments sections. A better approach would be filtering out comments that use these particular techniques to bypass YouTube censorship to begin with but obviously YouTube is in no hurry to do such a thing. And having to keep adding to the number of users using this extension as more of these censorship abusers pops up can become an annoyance in itself given that this seems to be a bit of a craze amongst certain cohorts.
It was working well until I hit the incredibly low limit of 10 blocked users. Makes this extension fairly useless, there's well more than 10 people on YouTube that you'll never want to read comments from again.
excellent, very useful
I mean it work, but 10 keywords limit? Also why not use regular expression? it's more flexible and can do more than just one keywords/phrases
