This extension is for anyone, who uses websites with pop-up ads (ads that open in a new tab).
red icon -> TabBlock prevents opening any new tab.
green icon -> TabBlock allows opening new tabs freely.
Note! Redirections to ads in the same tab still work! You can try to block them by using other extensions or simply return with "back" button.
TabBlock does not block any normal ads.
Manifest v3 Update: The new approach in Manifest v3 prevents extensions from running in the background all the time, leading to a cold start that can significantly increase the time needed to close a new tab. However, this is purely a cosmetic downgrade - TabBlock now filters out all requests to new tabs instantly, in addition to its ability to close tabs.

I've tried the extension, looks like it only work if the symbol turns green which mean active. in its active state i believe the mechanism was prevent any new tab, since i try to open setting and it instantly closed. my advice was please add whitelist mechanism so not all tabs get closed instantly

I would give it less than zero if I could. It is totally and utterly useless. It didn't stop a single new tab from opening. Don't bother with this. Not worth it.
holy 💩 it is perfect.
Works how it's advertised but it should have an option to be disabled by default and activate once a certain website is visited (through a user made list) to allow for flexibility and automation.

Does what it says on the tin but it lacks flexibility, you either block all tabs or you don't which means you're constantly turning it on and off. Would be nice to have a blacklist or a hotkey which when pressed will bypass the extension temporarily.
"Redirect" yoluyla yeni sekmede çıkan reklamlar dolayısıyla bu uzantıyı kullandım, evet bütün reklamları tamamen engelledi, süper dedim. Google ile işim bitip kapattıktan sonra tekrar google'a girmek istedim ancak bu uzantı, açılan bütün sekmeleri kapattığı için google'ın kendisi de dahil olmak üzere kendi penceresi bile açılmıyordu. Bende google'ı gizli modda başlat dedim daha sonra google sağ üstteki üç noktaya tıkladım > diğer araçlar > görev yöneticisini açtım ve TabBlock u sonlandır dedim. O sayede şuan buraya bu yorumu yazabiliyorum, her sekmeyi engelleyebiliyor öyle bir durum olursa nasıl durdurabileceğinizi anlattım bunun farkında olarak kullanabilirsiniz başka bir olumsuz yanını görmedim. İsterseniz bu yorumu bir yere kopyalayıp ondan sonra uzantıyı deneyin. (Gizli modda aktif etmenizi hiç tavsiye etmiyorum, gizli modda aktif etsem bu uzantıyı kapatmam mümkün bile olmayabilirdi.)
