This extension detects M3U8 streaming formats on the active tab and offers to download these segmented streams as a single file to the user's local disk.
This extension detects all possible video qualities and uses direct disk writing to store segments. So there is no need to have a recovery plan from a possible crash. Your data is written instantly to the local file and is ready to use. It also merges all segments automatically when the file is fetched. To improve download capability, the extension also sets the referrer header of the original page.
This extension uses multiple threads to download the HLS stream to increase the downloading speed and stability. Also, it supports resuming the download process when there is a network failure (Thanks to the TDM.JS engine).
How to use it:
1. Go to a streaming website like https://videojs.com/
2. Wait until the toolbar color changes

I don't even remember when I left a comment about any extension, but this extension is exactly the extension what I needed and helped me download m3u8 videos very easily. GOAT !
i like it but it doesn't name the file. sometimes it offers 2 things to download but it doesn't tell you what thing does what, is it 2 size formats or what? there is no common directory it will save too, it could use polishing, but it does at least work.
Not working on Tik Tok anymore(most of the time) I am constantly getting broken pipe errors. Will change the rating if it's fixed!
Not sure where the recent complaints are coming from. Yes, it sometimes doesn't properly detect SD/HD, but it works perfectly. You have to use your brain and pick the file that has the largest file size to get the full video/audio stream to download; other than those small things, this extension has been working perfectly.
Used to work flawlessly on Douyin live streams but now it only detects and downloads AUDIO streams. The saved file does not have a video stream. It used to be able to detect the original, highest-quality stream, as well as HD and SD video streams but now does not find ANY of those.
