Ever wanted to ctrl-f (or cmd-f) a YouTube video? Looking for that one clip in a 2 hour podcast? Don't want to listen to that entire lecture your professor posted? Well you're in luck!
If any YouTube video has closed captions enabled, this extension will add a search button to the video player so that you can search the transcript and navigate to each timestamp in the video where your query is spoken. This extension strives to feel as native as possible, as if it were a feature built right into YouTube.
- It will not seek to the exact moment your query is spoken, but instead it seeks to the timestamp where the caption would appear on screen.
- Use ENTER to seek to the next occurrence in the video and the LEFT/RIGHT arrow keys to cycle between previous and next.
- Limited to videos where closed captions are available.
- Limited to youtube.com (will not work on embedded videos).

The ultimate tool for video navigation
An extension that lists timestamp comments on YouTube.
Allows the user search YouTube for a term by highlighting text and selecting 'Search YouTube for...' from the right click menu.
Sadly it's broken, can search in the subtitles and shows the number of results, but does NOT seek the video player itself and also does not display the matching timestamp either for manual seeking. (As an alternative I'm using Youtube Comment Search Continued right now, even though it's a more heavy-weight addon.)
I can't see search button on my player.
Ha sido la única que me funcionó.
This is so useful!! It feels like a feature that youtube should have thought of themselves.
This extension is genius! I hope it gets updated to work for the new YouTube design, but until then it works great.
Only tested with English. language. Works perfectly with both written captions and auto-generated captions. 10/10
