When I click on recently closed tab, page open in new tab. Why? It's not logical.
Customizable, great design, and useful. I think this is my new favorite extension. Side effect: it's great for fixing great Chrome themes that have terrible new tab pages. (Works great on OS X Yosemite)

Focus on essential, it makes it very good, lightweight, useful, and fast
This is the best new tab page as other have said! One improvement would be an option for the collapsed links lists to open on mouseover. Another would be to allow the built in chrome bookmarks bar to appear only at the top of new tab pages. Another would be a way to link to various picture of the day sites for grabbing a random background page. Only way I've found to do this is adding: body { background-image: url(http://lorempixel.com/1600/900/abstract/); } to the advanced custom CSS
