I've been using this for over a decade, but recently when I double click on a word to highlight it and bring up the definition, it doesn't work. For some reason, the word is being sampled twice and used as a single word, which does not exist. For example, if I select the word "Definition" on a webpage, it will appear as "DefinitionDefinition" in the dictionary extension. I suppose I'll try to reinstall, but I figured I'd leave this review because I'm unable to contact the creator, which is apparently Google Ireland. Perhaps that's just for tax purposed though.

User installs extension and optionally configures language/preferences in options page. While browsing any website, double-clicking a word triggers a content script that sends the word to the background service worker, which fetches the definition from Google's dictionary API (dictionaryextension-pa.googleapis.com) and displays it in a pop-up bubble.
