YES! I like the live widgets, instead of the original static icons. This should be shown to the chrome dev team; it might replace the current 'new tab' page.

AMAZING! It has a lot of apps that are visible on the new tab page, so you don't have to install a separate weather or calculator extension. Also, the page does not load any slower than a regular new tab page, which was surprising to me. Another good feature is that folders on the bookmarks bar open automatically on the mouseover, so you don't have to make an extra click. ;)
The new update is prettier, but actually makes the Tab Page less functional. In this build, they have removed the ability to open recently closed tabs, and that's a near deal-breaker.
Pretty cool! Biggest missing feature in my mind right now is the ability to adjust the widget slot grid dimensions. It currently assumes a short, wide screen but on my work setup I have 1080p monitors set up vertically (so 1080x1920) which puts all the widget slots in the top half of my window with a horizontal scroll bar.
