Seems to be broken. Won't update correctly. Stays gray even though I've successfully logged in. C'mon Goog...you can do better than that!
This used to be a 5 star extension, but it has stopped working :(
As everyone else is pointing out, will not correctly update the number of unread messages. Worked so well for so long. Unfortunate.
Like the idea, but it only works about 10% of the time. Not sure why, but it seem to work better when I log in and out, but that's too much of a hassle.
This was working great, but it hasn't worked for several weeks. Tried logging out, rebooting, rubbing IcyHot on it, nothing seems to get it working again. I will gladly rate as 5 star if this "bug" is fixed. UPDATE: Been working well for a long time now. Changed my rating. Wondering if something like this will become available for the new "Inbox" for Gmail?
Almost always indicates that I have one unread email in my inbox hower gmail disagrees "Woohoo! You've read all the messages in your inbox."
My checker has been stuck on 1 new mail now for some time. Don't know what's up with that.
It's not updating unread count.
It works well, but can take a long time to update, so that sometimes it's unclear whether there is a new email or it just hasn't realised you read the old one yet. I agree that it needs an ability to force an update -- or that it should just be faster (increased polling rate, perhaps?).
Doesn't update anymore
