Bad. Most of the time this extension gives me '?' till I check mail manually. No sound. Looks like it's intended to work with desktop notification but I don't want desktop notification. Too bad I can't find decent gmail notifier anymore.

Only displays number of unread emails. No option to have it display number of new emails.
Aún si fuera la única extensión que hace esto no la recomiendo. Tiene la gran falla que se desconecta frecuentemente de la cuenta asociada, mostrando un sobre gris con un signo de interrogación. Google Mail Checker Plus Classic hace lo mismo y además, muestra los encabezados de los correos no leídos cuando se pasa el cursor por sobre el sobre.
i always put my comp to sleep with chrome open. when it wakes up the gmail checker stays gray and doesn't refresh unless i close the browser and re-open.
Great app, but it keeps breaking.

Meh. It looks nice and the spin animation is both cool and consistent with the Voice extension, but it's ultimately just a link. Unfortunately, it opens the full inbox when you click it which is exactly what I would like to avoid. If it functioned exactly like the Voice extension and opened a small preview pane, it would be perfect.
