The Sophistree browser extension lets you map and critique arguments appearing online. Highlight text from a webpage or PDF, right-click to add it as an excerpt to Sophistree, and it will appear in a graph in Chrome's sidebar. Double-click to add a proposition to add your own arguments about the truth of what you see and Sophistree will highlight both the graph and in-page highlights to emphasize where the argument is strong and where it is weak.

Drag excerpts to propositions to indicate evidentiary support. Drag propositions to excerpts to indicate the proposition appears within the excerpt. Drag propositions onto the wrapper of another proposition in a justification to create compound arguments.

Notable features:

- Collaborative map editing: sync remotely and share the document ID with other users

- Copresence: see collaborator's mouse and selection

- Highlight web pages and PDFs
