A Chrome extension that analyses links before you click them in webmail, helping you spot phishing attempts, typosquatting, URL shorteners, and other suspicious URLs — without sending any data anywhere.
What it does
When you click a link in a supported webmail app, Click Checker intercepts the click, runs a local heuristic analysis of the destination URL, and shows you a summary before the page loads. If the link looks safe, it opens immediately with no interruption. If signals suggest risk, a modal shows you what was detected and lets you decide whether to continue.
Detects:
- URL shorteners hiding the true destination (bit.ly, tinyurl, etc.)
- Typosquatting — domains that closely mimic trusted brands (e.g. `paypa1.com`)
