SponsorBlock lets you skip over sponsors, intros, outros, subscription reminders, and other annoying parts of YouTube videos. SponsorBlock is a crowdsourced browser extension that lets anyone submit the start and end times of sponsored segments and other segments of YouTube videos. Once one person submits this information, everyone else with this extension will skip right over the sponsored segment.

You can also skip over non music sections of music videos.

This is open source and the entire database is public.

This skips sponsorships for the majority of YouTube videos. Newer videos and lesser known creators may not work, but that's to be expected. Combined with Adblock, you're now good to browse YouTube.

Truly awesome! I spend a somewhat worrying amount of time watching and listening to YouTube, so the number of sponsor spots I see has become a significant amount of that time. Love how seamless and hands-off this is, and surprised how fast people submit times after a new video comes out. I support my most watched channels on Patreon as my adblock tax, but adblock doesn't solve the sponsor spots I've seen hundreds of times.

Users can optionally submit new segments by marking start/end times, and vote on existing segments.
