SponsorBlock lets you skip over sponsors, intros, outros, subscription reminders, and other annoying parts of YouTube videos. SponsorBlock is a crowdsourced browser extension that lets anyone submit the start and end times of sponsored segments and other segments of YouTube videos. Once one person submits this information, everyone else with this extension will skip right over the sponsored segment.

You can also skip over non music sections of music videos.

This is open source and the entire database is public.

Update (2022) its working now with the "Add 3rd-Party Client Instance" option and some extra extension permissions! Thanks so much for that update! Changed to 5/5!! Does not look to work with embed videos!? If im watching YouTube on desktop then im using https://youtube.videodeck.net/ and this does not look to work with YouTube Video Deck. If there is any way to make it work then please let me know and I will change my rating as I love this with Youtube Vanced!

It skips IN-VIDEO ads (the kind of sponsor where the uploader insert ad as part of the video, not the usual Youtube ads that you can block with adblock-type extensions). You can also contribute whenever you see new ads.

Users can optionally submit new segments by marking start/end times, and vote on existing segments.
