The Student Chrome extension should only be installed as part of a school or district initiative. The Student Chrome extension is not designed or intended for individual student use outside of a school or district.
When the LearnPlatform for Students Chrome extension is installed on a person’s browser and that person visits a site that is included in our product library, the extension activates. When the extension is not activated, the colors are grayed out. When the extension activates, it is colorized. When the extension is activated, general usage information is collected. This information can include a school-provided user ID, the time of day, and information about the domain and web site. The Chrome extension only collects information about domains associated with apps or sites in the LearnPlatform product library. The product library has been built over 5 years, and contains just under 6,000 products and related web sites identified by our school and district clients.

ts sucks and is required by my it. It tracks my history and I hate it a lot bro. ts pmo like 10000 times brooooo
I'd have it as negative 3 stars if I could its a scummy piece of malware that the idiots at the school board make necessary for all Chromebooks we need more tech-savvy people who know bs when they see it when it comes to education
ts so buns 😭
bro it dont even work. scam prolly, schools should disable it.
Terrible. Do not use this trash. It's just a waste of time.
This app's existence is a lie.
1 star because it has nothing and the extension cannot be clicked. Also, the extension looks like a false extension (description or something) or a joke to some people as it doesn't work and the extension can't be clicked (as mentioned before). This company needs to be sued (requires permission first if you are under 18) or just email them about this extension about the concern about this (if possible). If you were thinking you can't remove it, it is because it is managed by your IT. Always remember. If you can't uninstall a extension, it means that it is managed by your IT
THIS THING SUCKS! YOU CANT DO A SINGLE THING AND YOU CANT REMOVE IT!!
The extension is used to aggregate usage data from school devices using their proprietary "EdTech" technology. It does not identify users. It is akin to surveillance, however it can be used for good things and bad things, such as both budgeting and monitoring students. However, it does use up 25% of CPU to activate the extension to give information and up to 50% when loading a new site. It also does not provide much information to the student, besides an ambiguous logo and a letter grade. It has no information in the extension aside from that. I do not believe there is use for such an extension
Worst thing ever
