Very useful device, I used to translate the novels in read manually, and discovering OpenNovel allowed me to translate much faster and with incredibly more precise and coherent translations that any traductors such as Deepl or Google Translate.... Great translations overall, though when translating Korean the pronouns tend to get flipped. The function to change a translated phrase or word into your desired translation is great as well seeing as it also carries onto the other chapters you've translated or are going to translate.

One of the most impressive uses for LLMs I've experienced. I'm using AI via OpenNovel to translate Chinese webnovels in to surprisingly good english and then using Piper Text-to-Speech to have it read to me. The future is here. As far as the application itself, like I said, the default output for the translator is really good. On top of that, it has all the features I could think of wanting like the glossary where you can define how you might want certain terms or names are translated (very useful for reading niche fantasy novels with esoteric language or silly sounding names) as well as a place to add some custom features to the translation prompt.

It's a great website where you can translate the raw novel from its raw sites. If the novel in e-pub version, its even better since you can export the novel to OpenNovel immediately (if this makes sense, I'm sorry for my lacking in English). But I wish the translation is a bit more accurate since there were still some errors like the pronounce of the character or when the characters talking, there wasn't any "" to highlight they were talking. Those are just minor inconvenience; overall the extension are great.

It’s honestly my ideal way to translate a novel, and I really love the glossary system—it just makes everything easier to read and translate since I can tweak specific terms myself, and I don’t have to worry about characters getting the wrong pronouns compared to the original.
