This browser extension is designed to enhance your browsing experience by removing AI-generated overviews from Google search results. Though practically effective it does not actually prevent the activation of AI. A direct message to Google: we don't want an AI feature. It is killing us environmentally, physically, and mentally, not to mention its diluted quality. Let Google serve as a database rather than a catalyst for doomsday; thanks!
This is a brilliant plug-in. The fact that there isn't an option to turn off the use of AI is really an awful choice on Google's part. Not only is it not helpful, but it's also awful for the environment. This doesn't stop the activation of the AI but hopefully sends a message to Google that we don't want this.
WARNING: This does NOTHING to prevent the energy and water consumption from the AI summaries being generated, it only is coded to hide them from view. This extension is NOT the one you are looking for if you actually want to *prevent* the AI from running. You'll have to add -noai to your search query manually to do this. Uninstalling now that I wrote a review after reading the source code on GitHub.
