It will help you optimize your video viewing by allowing you to make quick playback speed adjustments, as well as rewind the video to hear the last few second one more time. We don't read at a constant speed, and we talk much slower than we read - there is no reason why we have to listen at a constant speed and at a (very) slow rate.
Once the extension is installed simply navigate to any page that offers HTML5 video, and you'll see a speed indicator in top left corner of the video player. Hover over the indicator to reveal the controls to accelerate, slowdown, or rewind the video (10 seconds + lowers playback speed). Or, even better, use your keyboard:
- S - decrease playback speed.
- D - increase playback speed.
- R - reset playback speed.

Chrome更新到72.0.3626.109版本后，出现错误，Console可看到 Unchecked runtime.lastError: Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist.

Amazing tool! Works like a charm!
Hi lately it causes video playback issues (videos don't start at all) on youtube after few days after removing it and adding again fixes it for few days but gets it again
This is the extension i use the most and that i recommend the most. I've saved probably hundreds of hours using it for the past couple of years. So thank you igrigorik for creating this extension! I got worried yesterday when it stopped working, giving some weird errors in the console about not being able to connect to something. Fortunately it is now working again. Anyway, I just wanted to say "thank you" to the developer and to show this extension is loved by the community, hoping this plugin is not affected by the changes Google is bringing to Chrome.
