It will help you optimize your video viewing by allowing you to make quick playback speed adjustments, as well as rewind the video to hear the last few second one more time. We don't read at a constant speed, and we talk much slower than we read - there is no reason why we have to listen at a constant speed and at a (very) slow rate.
Once the extension is installed simply navigate to any page that offers HTML5 video, and you'll see a speed indicator in top left corner of the video player. Hover over the indicator to reveal the controls to accelerate, slowdown, or rewind the video (10 seconds + lowers playback speed). Or, even better, use your keyboard:
- S - decrease playback speed.
- D - increase playback speed.
- R - reset playback speed.

Truly awesome. Handy as hell!
One of the most useful Chrome extensions. I'm spoiled because now I find myself so frustrated that I have to watch video on streaming devices (e.g., Roku) at regular speed. Those devices really need to get up to speed and give me the control. ;)
PERFECT. It does exactly what I need. I'm catching up on all my Netflix shows. I like that you can change speed with hotkeys, and that it displays the speed in the corner.

Расширение работает отлично, к его функционалу нет никаких пререканий. Единственный недостаток, который я заметил в этом расширении: менюшка в плеере очень любит выключаться и теряться. Наводить на нее курсор нужно очень аккуратно, иначе свернется, а в свернутом состоянии она становится почти невидимой и к тому же имеет свойство сбрасывать свое положение между видео. Если же управлять скоростью кнопками - все работает идеально, так что менюшка, в общем-то, и не нужна почти. Итог: отличное расширение, которое поможет всем тем людям, которым не хватает времени на просмотр видео на обычной скорости.
Very intuitive, works in 99,99% of the cases and very reliable. I use this extension a lot because it saves a lot of time.
the only problem is that... sometimes i have to reload the page so i can speed up/down the video. o único problema é q as vezes eu tenho que recarregar a página para que eu possa aumentar ou diminuir a velocidade do vídeo.
