It will help you optimize your video viewing by allowing you to make quick playback speed adjustments, as well as rewind the video to hear the last few second one more time. We don't read at a constant speed, and we talk much slower than we read - there is no reason why we have to listen at a constant speed and at a (very) slow rate.
Once the extension is installed simply navigate to any page that offers HTML5 video, and you'll see a speed indicator in top left corner of the video player. Hover over the indicator to reveal the controls to accelerate, slowdown, or rewind the video (10 seconds + lowers playback speed). Or, even better, use your keyboard:
- S - decrease playback speed.
- D - increase playback speed.
- R - reset playback speed.

Now It has some bugs , I can't increase speed of videos smoothly, It can't be continuously !

To get skepticism out of the way, your brain can process much faster than the media you're watching offers. As long as you can understand the speech (I watch shows/casters with accents a bit more slowly til I acclimate to the sound of their voice), you will laugh, cry, be shocked, all as if you were watching at regular speed. And you get so much of your life back. I binge watched Season 5 of TWD today (16 episodes, roughly 11 hours w/o credits/themesong) in three 5-episode sessions. It took me 5.5 hours in total (@2.05x speed). When I'm busier, I still like that I can get an episode in in under 21 minutes. Take your life back. #1 life hack.
This is the most useful extension ever. Fine grained control so I can watch some things at 2.2x and others just 2.0x or 1.8x is amazing.
Hopefully something like this existed for Flash (and was free).

Does what it advertises and helps me watch HTML5 vids at around 2x or more the speed. YouTube caps out at 2x speed but w/ the controller, you can get up to 4x faster. If you're as serious about saving time as I am, you'll be grateful for this great extension!
