It will help you optimize your video viewing by allowing you to make quick playback speed adjustments, as well as rewind the video to hear the last few second one more time. We don't read at a constant speed, and we talk much slower than we read - there is no reason why we have to listen at a constant speed and at a (very) slow rate.
Once the extension is installed simply navigate to any page that offers HTML5 video, and you'll see a speed indicator in top left corner of the video player. Hover over the indicator to reveal the controls to accelerate, slowdown, or rewind the video (10 seconds + lowers playback speed). Or, even better, use your keyboard:
- S - decrease playback speed.
- D - increase playback speed.
- R - reset playback speed.

Very helpful
Terrible. Pops up in the center of the screen, goes back to 1x the speed every time video buffers, causes video player to timeout. (Tried on two laptops & a desktop after all the basic techy stuff: all the same.) Previously read comments prior to installation these things didn't occur until it's latest update but will be uninstalling. At least for now.
I got more facilities than what i was expecting!! BEST among all.
Actually a game changer. I watch hours of YouTube a day, and speeding up the video faster than 2x is a big time saver. Also, for playing along to songs, being able to slow it down to 0.7, then 0.8, then 0.9 is extremely helpful for my learning process.
Latest update broke it. On Youtube the video speed conroller overlay is nearly in the center of the video instead of top left. Really distracting. Please fix!

It stopped working on twitch since a couple of days. Something changed?
супер ; но должен распознавать рекламу, и не проигрывать её на большой скорости. бывает в одном окне 2 плеера, второй это неизбежная реклама - она не должна на халяву одна за другой проигрываться, пока я смотрю основной плеер ; тем более если реклама быстро одна за другой летает - это грузит комп.
I love it . Even subtitle work like 70% when goes beyond 3.5x speed.
