It will help you optimize your video viewing by allowing you to make quick playback speed adjustments, as well as rewind the video to hear the last few second one more time. We don't read at a constant speed, and we talk much slower than we read - there is no reason why we have to listen at a constant speed and at a (very) slow rate.
Once the extension is installed simply navigate to any page that offers HTML5 video, and you'll see a speed indicator in top left corner of the video player. Hover over the indicator to reveal the controls to accelerate, slowdown, or rewind the video (10 seconds + lowers playback speed). Or, even better, use your keyboard:
- S - decrease playback speed.
- D - increase playback speed.
- R - reset playback speed.

Finally an extension that works with Zoom recorded meetings!!! So good to be able to speed up meetings >2x beyond what the web player allows. This seriously saves me so much time at work.

Very simple and useful. Works so well. I can blow past adds and slow down content that moves too fast. Highly recommend.
The default position is overlapped with the "back" button on Netflix, I think that's why it doesn't work on Netflix now. I successfully moved it a little when paused, but it went back to homepage right away. It'd be great if we can set its position beforehand, or set it through keyboard shortcut.

This is the best thing I found for easily adjusting video speed. What I like the most about this is that, we can quickly increase/decrease video speed with keyboard shortcuts and it's so easy to do that I can do it many many times according to the difficulty of content I am watching. I also like that there is no limitation to the speed, so you can increase the video speed as much as you wish. It always annoyed me that youtube has only 2x for example but sometimes 2x is still slow and boring! Thank you for the amazing extension. I am using it every day.
