The best thing about it is that my News Feed is fixed to most recent feeds.
It's all good until you want to pause it, or disable it without uninstalling it. you can't!!

Works for me. Will work for you if you take the time to follow instructions provided by developer. I now have more time to waste on the interweb. :)
It does what's needed to make Facebook manageable from the ever-changing, amorphous blob that Facebook is. I enjoy using Facebook but as the interface changes, it becomes needlessly complex (for my needs anyway). FBPurity helps wrangle that mess. I'd give 5 stars if the FBPurity interface were more intuitive, but I don't think I can blame the developer too much. The near overwhelming feature settings that can be wrangled by FBPurity reflects the complexity that is Facebook. I wish it were all easier to manage, but that's the nature of Facebook and all that touches it. I commend the developer in keeping up with the fast pace of changes in Facebook. Well done!! (*cheers and applause*)
most recent dosen't work
I used this and it did very well at blocking the things on facebook that I hate, but recently I have been unable to hide posts on my timeline, either through the Facebook dropdown or through the FBP "X". When I removed the extension I was able to hide posts again. Lots of good things about this app but being able to hide posts I don't want to see is a must for me. Wish it would be fixed.
This is indispensable for using Facebook effectively.
