ScreenGif records a region of your browser tab as an animated GIF and saves it directly to your Downloads folder. No accounts, no uploads, no cloud — everything stays on your device.
Great for sharing UI interactions: drop a recording into a ticket, chat, or pull request and it plays inline without a video player.
How to use:
Click the ScreenGif icon in the toolbar or press Command+Shift+6 on Mac (Ctrl+Shift+6 on Windows). Choose "Record Tab" to capture the current tab instantly, or "Full Screen / Window" to choose a source. Drag on the page to select the region you want to capture. Click Stop when you are done. The file saves to your Downloads folder automatically.
