It’s the add-on for Google Chrome, it turns browser into what it has never been in it’s life: a browser that is no longer resource killer (and if you have ever used Google’s browser you know very well what I’m talking about, with the results on Windows or macOS). The Marvellous Suspender has everything you need to allow you to control the behavior of active / inactive tabs and thus free up RAM when possible, in a transparent way, you do the first configuration and then you forget it exists, what you can do is only that couple of clicks that will serve to manually suspend a tab that you have awakened by mistake by selecting it.
Fork of the original The Great Suspender, but without those modifications that go to invade user privacy. You can find the official repository at github.com/gioxx/MarvellousSuspender, feel free to participate if you have the skills to do that.
You can learn about updates on TMS by following the blog and the official extension page at https://gioxx.org/tms :-)

Recent update means tabs automatically unsuspend when they're viewed, no matter what setting you choose, would like this functionality back if possible.
Mise à jour = suppression de tous les groupes d'onglets :-( ==> désinstallation !
Since the last update, after putting the tab to suspend and waking it up, it doesn't return to the place on the page I was, just opens the page like in new tab. Please fix this, very irritating when reading the long posts/forums.
Absolute moronic devs. They added a popup that you cannot turn off - it keeps popping up a new window, no matter what you are doing, telling you to update. I've never se something so ridiculous and audacious and i've used some really trashy extensions. absolute idiots. Use one of the other 37 forks of the previous open source suspender, or wait until those fascists at google support background tabs natively.
I would not update unless the details of the update are released. Why repeat the same mistake as last time? And the persistent urging to update is also very critical. Why are you urging me to update without releasing the content?
Please provide changelog for latest version. Otherwise, it is too dangerous to update.
Great addon, BUT STOP OPENING UNWANTED TAB TO UPDATE THIS! IT'S ANNOYING!
Seems as good as The Great Suspender was but per the experts, without the additional code that the new owner/developer sneaked in that violates Google's terms and that could be used for nefarious purposes. Only problem I have with this new extension is the name. It would have been better if this new extension had a name more similar to the old extension as this would have made it easier to find. Perhaps "The Great Suspender, Malware-free edition" would have been a better name. Alternatively, Google could make this new extension easier to find when you search for The Great Suspender and similar extensions. It almost seems that Google for some reason doesn't like what this extension does. The only concern I have about such extensions is that they tends to encourage people to leave their browsers open for weeks at a time. The problem is that unless the browser is occasionally restarted, the browser doesn't get its updates installed and Chrome has recently has some 0-day exploits.
great replacement for the other suspender. I was able to fix all my old saved tabs by exporting bookmarks, and opening the html file in an editor, using find replace from "klbibkeccnjlkjkiokjodocebajanakg" to "noogafoofpebimajpfpamcfhoaifemoa" then deleting all bookmarks and importing the fixed HTML bookmarks file.
