It’s the add-on for Google Chrome, it turns browser into what it has never been in it’s life: a browser that is no longer resource killer (and if you have ever used Google’s browser you know very well what I’m talking about, with the results on Windows or macOS). The Marvellous Suspender has everything you need to allow you to control the behavior of active / inactive tabs and thus free up RAM when possible, in a transparent way, you do the first configuration and then you forget it exists, what you can do is only that couple of clicks that will serve to manually suspend a tab that you have awakened by mistake by selecting it.
Fork of the original The Great Suspender, but without those modifications that go to invade user privacy. You can find the official repository at github.com/gioxx/MarvellousSuspender, feel free to participate if you have the skills to do that.

Thanks so much! I flipped out when suddenly my Chrome froze and all but 1 tab disappeared with the message "The Great Suspender has been disabled because it contains malware.". Those tabs are unrecoverable without manually chopping up the History URLs, having TGS installed, or having made a recent backup from TGS. Fast recovery: I got mine back by leaving TGS installed & closing all instances of Chrome. On opening, TGS will be enabled, but only for a few minutes before Chrome auto-removes again. In that time I was able to go to Settings->Session Management and hit "Open and Load" (NOT "Open and Suspend") on my previously-wiped 140+ tab session. This loaded all my tabs (PC freaked out & fans whined like a vacuum...). Then I removed TGS and told Marvellous Suspender to "Suspend all Tabs." Successful conversion!
So glad this was made! I used its predecessor all the time, and this seems to work great!
Very upset to find out that the Great Suspender had malware. Glad to hear that Chrome removed it, but they should've done it sooner. Also glad to see someone preserved the non-corrupted one.
