uTab is a way to infinity options for customizing the New Tab. Among the most interesting functions you can find the next:
- make as many folders with different bookmarks as you need right on the new tab
- apply dark/light mode
- opportunity to change the background of a start page
- support clocks from 10 time zones
uTab is a unique Start Page where you can add an unlimited amount of folders with bookmarks. Any bookmark or a group of them can be organized in separate folders that contain up to 83 bookmarks. Create different folders with lots of bookmarks that you set according to topics, tasks, users, etc. Rename them, copy, choose the background and organize bookmarks inside of each folder. Upload preview to easily navigate across the many bookmarks folders.

Import bookmarks from Chrome impossible (" Incorrect format ")
Liked what I saw, until I started looking through the options... I rarely use the search box on my new tab page, but learning after installing that the devs are redirecting a small percentage of my searches to Bing to earn a commission on them is a big NO-NO in my book. While it's only every fifth, seventh, or tenth depending on what you set, makes no difference to me. Such redirection to me is a privacy breach. It allows Microsoft access to data I don't want in their hands, and creates an opening for others to get it. While I fully support the Dev's right to earn an income for their time and effort, forcing us to choose one of the three options for a redirect of our searches to Bing isn't one I can accept. Just as a use case, what if someone uses Duck Duck Go for all of their searches for the privacy protection it offers. Every time one of the searches was redirected to Bing, you would instantly loose that privacy protection, potentially for the entire time you have that tab or it's results open, depending on the way beacons and such get placed, amongst other tricks. Also, going to the Dev's website to get a piece of info from the FAQ there, results in being greeted by the equivalent of a place holder, with three dummy questions and Lorem Ispim text for place holders. Not exactly helpful. For the moment, since I did like what I saw up front I am going to leave it installed, but disabled to make it easier for me to keep an eye on and see if any of my issues change or are fixed. Until then though, I won't be using it, just opens up a privacy issue I have spent a lot of time locking down, between things like controlling Javascript, blocking ads, the MS Windows ".HOSTS" file, etc... Hopefully the dev will either give us a way to donate / be Paetrons, or just pay $5 or so up front for the extension, without the redirect bit...

this extension is underrated, it is a VERY good new tab! it's design is amazing, it can even store bookmarks and have custom folders created, and more great features!
i love everything about this extension , however it was not easy to understand that to add a icon there it has to be existing in my original bookmark ! that was the only difficulty i've got . thank you for making this extension real ! i've wanted this functionality to be real , thank you so much

Pretty cool extension. Switched to using it after Google changed their default Chrome Newpage to not allow for more than 5 links for some reason. Couple enhancements I'd like to see: 1) Configurable clock and date formatting on the sleep screen, and 2) Option to put the configurable clock/date on the tab screen somewhere (and then I would just disable the sleep screen.)
